This 1986 Ferrari 328 is one of approximately 6,068 removable-top GTS examples produced. The car is finished in Rosso Corsa over beige leather, and power is provided by a fuel-injected 3.2-liter V8 paired with a five-speed manual transaxle. Equipment includes a limited-slip differential, concave 16″ Speedline five-spoke alloy wheels, four-wheel ventilated disc brakes, a gated shifter, a Blaupunkt radio, and power windows. The seller acquired the car in October 2018, and subsequent work has included performing a timing belt service and electrical repairs as well as replacing ignition components, the fuel pump, auxiliary belts, and carpets. This 328 GTS is now offered with the owner’s manual, service records, a tool kit, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Massachusetts title in the seller’s name.
The Pininfarina-designed body is finished in Rosso Corsa and features a removable black roof panel. Additional exterior details include pop-up headlights, integrated fog lights, side air intakes, dual side mirrors, a power antenna, a black spoiler mounted over the rear window, and quad exhaust tips exiting through the rear valance. The front grille was refinished in July 2020.
Staggered-width concave 16″ Speedline five-spoke alloy wheels are mounted with Bridgestone Potenza RE-71R tires. Braking is handled by power-assisted ventilated four-wheel discs, and a brake fluid flush was performed in June 2023. The parking brake was repaired and the wheel caps replaced in June 2019.
The seats are trimmed in beige leather and are complemented by color-coordinated door panels and carpets. Interior amenities include a gated shifter, a Blaupunkt radio, power windows, and a rear-window defroster. The carpet was replaced in July 2020, and the driver’s door panel storage was repaired in October 2021. The air conditioning system does not work, and a June 2019 service note suggests a problem with the compressor.
The three-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames Veglia instrumentation consisting of a 180-mph speedometer, a 10k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for oil pressure and coolant temperature. Gauges for oil temperature and fuel level are mounted in the center of the dashboard along with an analog clock. The five-digit odometer shows 30k miles, just under 3k of which were added under current ownership.
The mid-mounted 3.2-liter Type F105 V8 features Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection and four valves per cylinder. Factory-rated output was 260 horsepower and 213 lb-ft of torque. In July 2020, a timing belt service was performed, and the fuel pump, camshaft seal, and auxiliary belts were replaced. In June 2022, the catalytic control unit, O2 protection relay, distributor caps, rotors, ignition wires, and spark plugs were replaced. An oil change was performed in June 2023, and the coolant was flushed in September 2023.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. The transmission fluid was replaced in September 2023.
