This 1992 Alfa Romeo Spider is said to have remained with its first owner from new until April 2023, and it was acquired by the seller on BaT in November 2023. Subsequent work included converting the air-conditioning system to utilize R134a refrigerant, fitting a Squadra Tuning ECU tuning chip, and installing LED headlights, Koni Red shock absorbers, 15″ Maxilite GTA-style alloy wheels, a Nardi steering wheel and shift knob, a Kenwood stereo and Pioneer speakers, and replacement exhaust components as well as changing the upper radiator hose, tires, engine mounts, spark plugs, distributor cap and rotor, and drive belts. Finished in Verde Inglese over beige vinyl upholstery, the car is powered by a 2.0-liter inline-four paired with a five-speed manual transmission. It also features a limited-slip differential, power-assisted disc brakes, power windows, and a tan soft top with a matching boot. Now showing 10k miles, this Series 4 Spider is offered with a car cover, service records, spare parts, and a clean Florida title in the seller’s name.
The Series 4 Spider received an exterior refresh with color-matched bumpers and a revised tail with integrated wrap-around taillights. The Pininfarina-designed bodywork of this example is finished in Verde Inglese (306) with a tan soft top, and exterior details include a convertible top boot, power-adjustable side mirrors, and a replacement power antenna as well as LED headlights installed under current ownership. Maxilite GTA-style 15″ alloy wheels wearing 205/50 Bridgestone Potenza RE-71RS tires were installed under current ownership. Power steering and four-wheel disc brakes were fitted as standard equipment on the Series 4 Spider, and the front calipers were overhauled in November 2022. The brake fluid was flushed and Koni Red shock absorbers were installed under current ownership.
The bucket seats are upholstered in beige vinyl with sueded center sections, and they are accompanied by a color-coordinated lower dashboard, center console, and door-panel inserts. Appointments include a rear parcel shelf, power windows, and an analog clock. Work performed under current ownership included installing a Kenwood Bluetooth-capable stereo, Pioneer speakers, and a Nardi shift knob as well as converting the air-conditioning system to utilize R134a refrigerant with a replacement drier and pressure switch.
The 350mm Nardi steering wheel was fitted under current ownership, and it frames a Jaeger-branded 140-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The six-digit odometer shows 10k miles, approximately 2k of which were added by the seller.
The 2.0-liter inline-four features Bosch Motronic electronic fuel injection, and it was fitted with a Squadra Tuning engine control unit (ECU) tuning chip under current ownership. Additional work within the last six months included flushing the coolant, changing the oil, installing heavy-duty engine mounts, and replacing the upper radiator hose and the distributor cap and rotor along with the spark plugs and drive belts.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The seller notes that the transmission and differential fluids were flushed and that the exhaust system was fitted with a replacement catalytic converter, center muffler, and tailpipe under current ownership.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists history in Ohio and Florida.
