The twin-turbocharged 3.6L Mezger flat-six was factory equipped with the X50 Turbo Power Kit, which included revised engine management software and larger turbochargers and intercoolers for a factory rating of 444 horsepower and 457 lb-ft of torque. Modifications include an IPD Plenums intake plenum, an Evolution Motorsports (EVOMS) air-intake system, and Forge Motorsport intercooler piping. Records indicate that the coolant pipes have been welded, the left turbocharger was replaced in 2012, and the engine mounts were replaced in 2020.

Power is sent to all four wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle. A Sachs Stage 2.5 clutch kit and a replacement dual-mass flywheel were installed in May 2020 at which time the driveshaft flex joint and crankshaft seal were replaced.
