This 1984 Cadillac Eldorado was sold new through Hoyle Cadillac in Delray Beach, Florida, and spent time in New York and Pennsylvania before the seller’s acquisition in 2021. Finished in Sable Black over Saddle leather interior, the car is powered by a 4.1-liter V8 paired with a four-speed automatic transaxle. Equipment includes a Touring Coupe-specific sport suspension, four-wheel disc brakes, 15″ alloy wheels, power-adjustable front seats, automatic climate control, cruise control, automatic headlights, and a Delco-Bose cassette stereo. Work in preparation for the sale consisted of servicing the engine and transmission. This Eldorado Touring Coupe is offered at no reserve with a copy of the window sticker, service records, manufacturer’s literature, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Florida title in the seller’s name.
The bodywork was refinished in Sable Black under previous ownership. Most of the exterior brightwork of standard Eldorados was removed or replaced with black trim for the Touring Coupes yet chrome bumpers were retained. Exterior details include Eldorado Touring Coupe hood and sail panel badging, remote-control side mirrors, and black bodyside moldings. Fading on the front bumper filler panels is noted as well as a blemish in the paint on the driver door.
Cast alloy 15″ wheels are mounted with 215/70 Michelin Defender tires. The Eldorado Touring Coupe was factory-equipped with stiffer springs, revised shock damping, higher-effort steering, and thicker front and rear sway bars compared to standard Eldorado models. Braking is handled by power-assisted four-wheel discs.
The power-adjustable front bucket seats and rear bench are upholstered in Saddle leather. Woodgrain trim accents the dashboard and door panels and appointments include automatic climate control, cruise control, power windows and locks, a trip computer, Twilight Sentinel automatic headlights, a center console, and a Delco-Bose Symphony Sound cassette stereo.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel is mounted on a tilting and telescoping column and frames a horizontal 85-mph speedometer and a fuel gauge. The five-digit odometer shows 71k miles, approximately 2k of which were added under current ownership.
The 4.1-liter V8 was factory rated at 135 horsepower and 200 lb-ft of torque and features an aluminum engine block and throttle-body fuel injection. The engine is said to have been rebuilt in 2000 and work in May of 2024 consisted of changing the oil and replacing the valve cover gaskets. The car failed a California emissions inspection in May 2021 and passed in June 2021.
Power is sent to the front wheels through a four-speed automatic transaxle. The transmission pan gasket was replaced and the fluid was changed in preparation for the sale. Additional underside images are presented in the gallery.
