This 1993 Audi S4 was delivered new to Prestige Audi in Lakewood, Colorado, and was acquired by the seller in April 1996. It is finished in Cyrstal Silver Metallic over black leather and is powered by a turbocharged 2.2-liter inline-five mated to a five-speed manual transaxle and a Quattro all-wheel-drive system. Additional equipment includes a locking rear differential, 16″ alloy wheels, a power-operated sunroof, heated seats, carbon-fiber interior trim, automatic climate control, and an Audi-Bose sound system with a cassette stereo and a trunk-mounted CD changer. This Ur-S4 is now offered at no reserve with manufacturer’s literature, partial service records, hand-written service notes, spare wheels, an accident-free Carfax report, and a clean Colorado title in the name of the seller and their spouse.
The car is finished in Crystal Silver Metallic, and the seller notes that the left doors were repainted under prior ownership. HID headlights and an aftermarket antenna were installed, and additional details include front and rear fog lights, a power-operated sunroof, and power-adjustable mirrors. The headlight lenses were replaced in 2024. Noted blemishes include failing clear coat on various panels, faded and chipped paint on the front fascia, damage to the front lower valance and exhaust tips, rust behind the right rear door, and scuffs on the bumper covers.
Silver-finished 16″ alloy wheels are mounted with 225/50 Bridgestone Potenza RE960 AS tires. An Abt/Bilstein suspension kit was retrofitted in 1997, and stopping power is provided by four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes.
The heated and power-adjustable front sport seats and rear bench seat are upholstered in black leather. Carbon-fiber trim accents the dashboard and door panels, and amenities include automatic climate control, heated outboard rear seats, an Audi-Bose AM/FM/cassette stereo, and a trunk-mounted CD changer. Cracks in the carbon fiber trim are noted as well as cuts in the dashboard and worn front seat bolsters. The seller states the climate control interface is intermittently slow to respond.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames white-dial instrumentation consisting of a 170-mph speedometer, a tachometer, an analog clock, and auxiliary gauges. The six-digit mechanical odometer shows 245k miles, approximately 215k of which have been added under current ownership. The Carfax report lists a potential odometer rollback in August 2022, and total mileage is unknown.
The turbocharged 2.2-liter AAN inline-five was factory rated at 227 horsepower and 258 lb-ft to torque. A Colorado emissions test was passed in June 2024.
Power is sent to all four wheels via a five-speed automatic transaxle and a Quattro all-wheel-drive system with a Torsen center differential and a push-button locking rear differential.
A spare set of 16″ five-spoke wheels mounted with 205/55 Bridgestone tires are included in the sale along with manufacturer’s literature, partial service records, and a collection of hand-written service notes.
