This 1971 Mercedes-Benz 300SEL 6.3 is finished in two-tone Silver Gray Metallic and black over black leather upholstery, and it is powered by a 6.3-liter V8 mated to a four-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes 14″ Bundt alloy wheels, self-leveling air suspension, four-wheel disc brakes, and a sunroof in addition to front bucket seats, a push-button Becker stereo, air conditioning, power windows, and central locking. The car is said to have been refurbished in 2018, and subsequent work included replacing the timing chain in 2019 as well as servicing the air suspension and replacing the fuel-injection pump in 2021. This W109 was listed on BaT in April 2024 and is now offered again by the selling dealer with service records and a clean New Jersey title.

The two-spoke steering wheel has a chrome horn ring and frames VDO instrumentation consisting of a 160-mph speedometer, a central 6k-rpm tachometer, and a combination gauge for coolant temperature, fuel level, and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer shows 7k miles, approximately 50 of which were added under current ownership. The odometer is believed to have rolled over, and total mileage is unknown.
The 6.3-liter M100 V8 features Bosch D-Jetronic fuel injection and was rated at 300 horsepower and 435 lb-ft of torque when new. The timing chain and tensioner were replaced in 2019, the fuel-injection pump, distributor, and ignition wires were replaced in 2021, the spark plugs were replaced in 2023, and the alternator and voltage regulator were replaced in 2024.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission.
