1960 Willys FC-150

This 1960 Willys Jeep FC-150 was acquired as a non-running project by the seller approximately 14 years ago and was subsequently fitted with a replacement 134ci Hurricane inline-four, three-speed manual transmission, and dual range transfer case. The interior was reupholstered and a CD stereo installed along with AutoMeter gauges, a replacement wiring harness, and a one-wire alternator. The truck is finished in green over green and gray vinyl, and additional equipment includes a Warn overdrive unit, 15″ steel wheels, a side-mounted spare, locking front hubs, dual side mirrors, and a pintle hitch. This Forward Control is now offered with refurbishment photos and a clean Michigan title in the seller’s name.

The truck is finished in green, and there are dents, corrosion, and blemishes throughout the body. Features include a drop-down tailgate, side vent windows, a rear pintle hitch, cab clearance lights, and dual side mirrors. The turn signals work intermittently and both side windows are stuck in the open position. There are cracks in the rear window, and rust holes in the bed are pointed out in the gallery.

The 15″ steel wheels are mounted with 7.00-15 Power King Extra Traction tires that show date codes from 2011. The brake system was overhauled during the refurbishment, including replacement of the master cylinder, wheel cylinders, and brake lines.

The seats were reupholstered in green and gray vinyl and gray carpets and aftermarket insulation were added by the seller along with matching door panels. An aftermarket CD receiver was installed in the dash and is wired to speakers in each door. Gray vinyl was also added to the upper portion of the cab, though the adhesive is separating. An integrated cooler is located behind the driver’s seat and cupholders are fitted next to each seat.

The two-spoke steering wheel frames AutoMeter instrumentation, including a 90-mph speedometer and gauges for voltage and oil pressure. The fuel level gauge is inoperative and the odometer shows 250 miles, which is said to represent the miles traveled since refurbishment. Total mileage is unknown, and the steering wheel is off center.

A replacement 134ci Hurricane inline-four, three-speed manual transmission, and dual-range transfer case were rebuilt and installed by the seller during the refurbishment. The Warn overdrive unit and both axles are also said to have been rebuilt, a replacement wiring harness was installed, and a Delco one-wire alternator fitted. The seller notes oil leaks and states that the overdrive shift lever intermittently pops out of gear.
