This 1984 Volkswagen Rabbit GTI is finished in Cashmere White over Midnight Blue cloth and is powered by a 1.8-liter inline-four mated to a five-speed manual transaxle. Equipment includes 14″ Snowflake alloy wheels, front disc brakes, a golf ball shift knob, a VW-branded Cassette stereo, and Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection. The car was acquired by the seller in 2018, and work since included a combustion chamber carbon cleaning, an oil change, a retrofit to R-134 refrigerant, rust repairs, and replacement of the water pump, right motor mount, shifter bushing, and rear brakes. This Rabbit GTI is now offered with service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.
The car is finished in Cashmere White (LE9C) with black trim, wheel arch flares, bumpers, and accent stripes. Exterior features include a rear window wiper, Rabbit GTI badging, and a single exhaust outlet. The air conditioning system was retrofitted to R-134 and a recharge was performed in September 2023.
The four-spoke steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation including a 120-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and readouts for coolant temperature and fuel level. An analog clock and gauges for oil temperature and voltage are mounted in the center stack. The six-digit mechanical odometer shows 34k miles, approximately 2k of which have been added under current ownership.
The 1.8-liter inline-four is equipped with Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection and was factory rated at 90 horsepower and 100 lb-ft of torque. An oil change was performed along with a combustion chamber carbon cleaning and replacement of the water pump and right motor mount in December 2022.
