1960s Murray Jolly Roger Flagship-Style Pedal Boat

This pedal car was built by the Murray Ohio Manufacturing Company of Cleveland, Ohio, between 1966 and 1968. It was purchased by the selling dealer in 2023 and subsequently refurbished in the style of a Jolly Roger model. The craft features steel bodywork finished in white with red accents as well as Jolly Roger graphics. Equipment includes a red steering yoke, seat, and wheels along with a faux outboard engine, chrome handrails, and a plastic windscreen. This Murray pedal boat is now offered at no reserve in Seekonk, Massachusetts, on a bill of sale.

The boat-style steel bodywork was refinished in white under current ownership and is accented by red decals on the deck, “Jolly Roger” side graphics, and a faux outboard engine cover. Additional features include chrome handrails and a pennant holder positioned on the bow as well as a plastic wrap-around windscreen.

The wheels are arranged with two out back and a single steerable caster-style wheel up front, all three of which are painted red with white stripes. Solid tires are fitted all around.

The plastic faux outboard engine features a silver functioning propeller that requires batteries to operate.

The cabin features a red seat pad that sits aft of a red steering yoke, while the dashboard features a faux compass and speedometer. The hull with the motor measures 45” long, 17” wide, and 18” high.

The rear wheels are driven by twin foot pedals, which also provide braking input when back-pedaled.
