This Exomotive Exocet Race was acquired as a kit by the seller in 2017 and completed in 2020. The car is powered by a supercharged 5.3-liter Chevrolet L33 V8 paired with a six-speed manual transmission, and it features an orange powder-coated tube steel chassis to which smoked polycarbonate body panels and a Miata Big Wang rear wing are mounted. The orange powder-coated Exocet Race chassis features an integrated roll cage and a load-bearing floor connecting the V8 Roadster front and NB Miata rear subframes. Bodywork consists of smoked polycarbonate lower side panels, Flyin’ Miata upper side panels, and a black gel coat nose cone, rear tank cover, and gauge cowl. A Miata Big Wang rear wing with cable tensioners was sourced from Nine Lives Racing. 15″ Vors VR7 wheels are finished in black and mounted with 245/40 Falken Azenis RT660 tires showing 2022 date codes. The car is equipped with V8 Roadster double wishbones with Circuit Sports extended lower ball joints up front and Ford Thunderbird double wishbones out back, with adjustable coilovers and Energy Suspension urethane bushings all around. Steering is provided by a Miata manual rack-and-pinion, and braking is handled by four-wheel discs with G-LOC pads, a Wilwood master cylinder and proportioning valve, and a Honed Development booster delete kit. The brake fluid was flushed in preparation for the sale.

The cockpit features Kirkey aluminum seats with black tweed covers, Simpson five-point harnesses, I/O Port seatback braces, a RaceQuip window net and fire-retardant shifter boot, a Longacre rearview mirror, a fire extinguisher, a suede-wrapped Sparco steering wheel, an NRG quick-release hub, and a carbon-fiber shifter knob.

Speedhut instrumentation consists of an 8k-rpm tachometer with an inset 160-mph speedometer flanked by an oil-temperature gauge and a four-in-one combo gauge with read-outs for coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and voltage. An Innovate wideband air/fuel ratio gauge is mounted above the transmission cover. The digital odometer shows 3,500 miles.

The 5.3-liter Chevrolet L33 V8 is equipped with an East Coast/Paxton NOVI 1500SL supercharger as well as 862 cylinder heads, a Sloppy Mechanics Stage 2 camshaft, LS7 lifters, and PAC Racing valve springs. Fuel is delivered from a 10-gallon RCI fuel cell by way of a surge tank and a combination of Walbro 255LPH high-pressure and Bosch 044 high-flow pumps, while gases exit via Sanderson shorty headers flowing into a 2.5” dual exhaust system equipped with an H-pipe, race catalytic converters, and Breva mufflers.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Nissan CD009 six-speed manual transmission with a Full Blown Motorsports shifter and an ACT clutch kit as well as a Ford 8.8″ rear end that incorporates Driveshaft Shop axles and a rebuilt Cobra Trac-Lok differential. The seller says that an intermittent grind occurs in fifth gear, and that replacement synchros and bearings are included in the sale.

The Montana title carries a “Kit” brand.
