This 1980 BMW 320i is said to have remained registered with one owner in Michigan before it was acquired by the selling dealer in 2024. Mechanical refurbishments since 2022 included overhauling the fuel and braking systems as well as replacing the radiator, fan shroud, cooling hoses, and assorted ignition and suspension components. The car is powered by a 1.8-liter M10 inline-four paired with a three-speed automatic transmission and is finished in Cashmere Metallic over black leatherette upholstery. It also has 16″ Vors VR3 alloy wheels, front disc brakes, a sunroof, a front spoiler, and fog lights. A four-spoke steering wheel frames an 85-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 6,800-rpm redline, and auxiliary gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The six-digit odometer shows 90k miles, approximately 1,100 of which were added under current ownership. The hazard flashers are inoperative.
The 1.8-liter M10 inline-four was factory rated at 101 horsepower and 100 lb-ft of torque. Refurbishments in 2022 consisted of cleaning, treating, and sealing the fuel tanks as well as installing a replacement fuel pressure regulator, filter, filler neck, hoses, and pumps. A fabricated radiator was installed and the fan shroud, cooling hoses spark plugs, ignition wires, distributor cap and rotor, battery, starter, and blower motor were replaced by the selling dealer.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission.
