This 1969 Jeep Jeepster Commando station wagon underwent a body-off cosmetic and mechanical refurbishment before it was acquired out of Oregon by its current owner on BaT in June 2023. The project involved overhauling its 225ci V6, three-speed manual transmission, and dual-range transfer case in addition to a repaint and interior refresh. Features include a white hardtop, 15″ steel wheels, manually locking front hubs, an AM radio, and a heater. Previously offered on BaT in May 2024, this Jeepster Commando is now offered again by the seller with a clean Texas title in the owner’s name.
The body was removed from the frame and disassembled before it was refinished in blue under previous ownership. Features include a removable hardtop, chrome bumpers, a seven-slot grille, quarter-vent windows, and dual mirrors.
White-painted 15″ steel wheels are mounted with 205/75 GT Radial Touring VP Plus tires, and a spare is housed in the rear cargo compartment. The front axle is equipped with manually locking hubs, and stopping power is provided by front and rear drum brakes.
Low-back bucket seats are upholstered in blue and white, and a black dash pad tops the body-color metal dashboard, while replacement black carpeting lines the floors. Additional appointments include a heater/defroster, a locking glovebox, door scuff plates, sun visors, and a push-button AM radio. Seat belts were fitted after the current owner acquired the vehicle.
A two-spoke steering wheel frames a 110-mph speedometer and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 68k miles, approximately 100 of which were added under current ownership.
The 225ci Dauntless V6 was factory rated at 160 horsepower and 235 lb-ft of torque.
Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels through a rebuilt three-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case.
