This MG TD replica was built on a Volkswagen Beetle pan, and it has red-painted fiberglass bodywork made to emulate an MG TD. Powered by a 1.6-liter flat four linked to a four-speed manual transaxle, the car also has wire-style wheel covers, a rear-mounted spare, pea-shooter exhaust tips, chrome trim, auxiliary lights, a badge bar, a JVC stereo, a Hurst shifter, and black upholstery. Acquired by its owner in March 2024, this TD replica is now offered at no reserve on dealer consignment with a clean Delaware title that describes it as a 1952 MG.
The car is based on a Volkswagen Beetle chassis. Red-painted fiberglass bodywork with rear-hinged doors has been installed along with chrome bumpers, dual driving lights, a badge bar, dual fender-mounted mirrors, wind wings, and twin pea-shooter exhaust tips. The Royce MotoMeter radiator thermometer does not work.
Steel 15″ wheels wear wire-spoke-style covers and are mounted with 205/70 Lexington ES-335 tires. A matching spare is secured out back.
The seating surfaces are upholstered in black vinyl. A JVC stereo is installed in the right-side padded dashboard panel, cup holders are mounted between the seats, and a Hurst shift lever has been fitted.
The Grant GT steering wheel frames VDO instruments. The five-digit odometer shows 14k miles, approximately 50 of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The 1.6-liter air-cooled flat four is equipped with a Solex downdraft carburetor topped by a chrome air cleaner. The oil was changed in preparation for the sale, and the oil cooler is missing part of the shroud.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transaxle.
