The 4.6-liter Rover V8 features aluminum construction and was factory rated at 222 horsepower and 300 lb-ft of torque. In May 2024 the spark plugs, spark plug wires, valve cover gasket, timing chain, tensioner, mass air flow sensor, and air conditioning compressor were replaced, the air conditioning was recharged, and an oil change was performed.
Power is sent to all four wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission and an electronically controlled two-speed transfer case. The transmission fluid and differential fluid were reportedly replaced in May 2024.
