This 1983 Mercedes-Benz 300D Turbo is a Lapis Blue Metallic example that remained with its original owner in Massachusetts before it was sold and subsequently acquired by the current owner on BaT in December 2018. Power comes from a 3.0-liter turbodiesel inline-five that drives the rear wheels via a four-speed automatic transmission, and the car is equipped with refinished 14″ Bundt alloy wheels, a power sunroof, yellow-lens auxiliary lights, and power-adjustable side mirrors. The interior features Zebrano wood trim and front bucket seats upholstered in Palomino MB-Tex as well as automatic climate control, cruise control, a Becker Europa AM/FM/cassette stereo, and power-operated windows and locks. Work in May 2023 included replacing the engine and transmission mounts along with the shifter bushings and front brakes. This W123 300D Turbo is now offered at no reserve on dealer consignment in New Jersey with manufacturer’s literature, a first aid kit, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Texas title.

Refinished 14″ Bundt alloy wheels are mounted with 195/70 Michelin Rainforce MX4 tires, and a full-size spare resides in the trunk. The front suspension is said to have been overhauled in May 2023, and additional work at that time included replacing the front brake pads and rotors and flushing the brake fluid.
The front bucket seats and the rear bench are upholstered in Palomino MB-Tex, while Zebrano wood trim accents the dashboard and center stack. Amenities include automatic climate control, cruise control, a Becker Europa AM/FM/cassette stereo, and power-operated windows, mirrors, and locks. Repairs were made to the power window mechanisms in May 2023.
The four-spoke steering wheel frames a 6k-rpm tachometer with an inset analog clock as well as a 125-mph speedometer and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level. The six-digit mechanical odometer shows 47k miles, approximately 500 miles were added by the current owner. A sticker affixed in the door jamb notes a prior odometer repair or replacement in which it was set to zero. A photo of the sticker can be viewed in the gallery, and true mileage is unknown.
The 3.0-liter turbodiesel inline-five was factory rated at 123 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque. An oil change was most recently carried out in May 2023.
Power is routed to the rear wheels via a four-speed automatic transmission. The shifter bushings were replaced in May 2023 along with the engine and transmission mounts.
