This 1973 Datsun 240Z was sold new in Colorado and registered there until it was relocated to South Carolina. Acquired by the seller in 2021, the car is finished in metallic blue with white racing stripes, and it is powered by a 2.4-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes front disc brakes, 15″ wheels, and replacement seats with black leather and gray suede upholstery. Work in the past year involved servicing the suspension and replacing interior components. This 240Z is now offered with an owner’s manual, service records, a car cover, and a clean North Carolina title in the seller’s name.
The car was refinished under previous ownership, and it has a driver-side mirror, a rear decklid spoiler, and Z badging on the C-pillars. A ding is noted in the rear decklid.
Installed in 2021, slotted 15″ wheels are mounted with 205/60 BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. A front stabilizer bar, rack-and-pinion steering, and independent rear suspension are additional elements. The shock absorbers were replaced in September 2023.
Replacement seats with black leather and gray suede inserts were installed along with a replacement glovebox in May 2024. A Pioneer stereo was installed in 2021, at which time the power antenna was replaced, and Infinity speakers are noted in the cargo area.
The woodgrain steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 7k-rpm redline. Gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, amperage, and fuel level are housed over the center stack next to a quartz clock that was replaced in 2024. The five-digit odometer shows 700 miles, however the seller reports driving 4k miles since acquiring the vehicle, and total mileage is unknown.
Factory rated at 151 horsepower and 146 lb-ft of torque, the 2.4-liter L24 inline-six sends power to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. An oil change was completed in preparation for the sale.
