This 1993 Porsche 911 RS America is one of 701 examples produced during a two-year production run. It is powered by a modified 3.8-liter flat-six paired with a five-speed manual transaxle and is finished in black over black cloth/leather. The car is equipped with a limited-slip differential, 18″ Forgeline Wheels, a MOMO steering wheel, a Sparco harness bar, an FVD Brombacher exhaust system, air conditioning, and a fixed rear spoiler. The current owner acquired the car in 2023 and has since added approximately 100 of the 78k miles shown. This 964 RS America is now offered on dealer consignment with a window sticker, the owner’s manual, service records, spare parts, a tool kit, and a clean Texas title.
The RS America was a lightweight derivative of the contemporary Carrera 2 and is distinguished from the base car by a revised fixed rear spoiler as well as RS scripts on the rear deck lid and quarter panels. This has been refinished in the factory black. The headlight lenses and turn signal lenses were replaced in preparation for the sale. The 18″ Forgeline WC3 wheels are finished in silver with polished lips. They are mounted with 245/35 front and 265/35 rear Michelin Pilot Sport tires. The factory M030 sport suspension features a larger-diameter front stabilizer bar and upgraded shock absorbers shared with the 911 Turbo. This car has also been fitted with 993 Turbo brakes.
The cabin features power height-adjustable front seats trimmed in black cloth/leather, and amenities include air conditioning, a MOMO steering wheel, a Porsche Classic stereo, aftermarket cabin speakers, a Sparco harness bar, and door pull straps. RS Americas were also equipped with a luggage shelf and enclosed storage compartments in place of the rear seats.
Instrumentation includes a central tachometer with a 6,800-rpm redline as well as a 180-mph speedometer and gauges for oil pressure, oil temperature, oil level, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 78k miles, approximately about 100 miles of which were added during current ownership.
The flat-six engine was built to 3.8 liters by Patrick Motorsports in 2015. Service in October 2023 included painting the fan red, replacing the drive belts, and installing an FVD Brombacher exhaust system. The oil was changed in preparation for the sale.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a G50 five-speed manual transaxle and an optional limited-slip differential.
