This 1969 Kawasaki H1 Mach III is finished in white with blue accents and is powered by a 498cc two-stroke triple paired with a five-speed transmission. The seller purchased this H1 Mach III in 2008, and it is now offered at no reserve with three spare pistons and cylinders and a bonded Iowa title in the seller’s name.
The fuel tank is finished in white with blue graphics, and the oil tank and battery cover have been refinished to match, with the headlight brackets refinished in silver. Features include a black-finished double-cradle frame, a black vinyl two-up seat, a chrome passenger grab bar, a side mirror, bright fenders, and both center and side stands. The chrome wire-spoke wheels with 19″ front and 18″ rear rims are mounted with older Dunlop and Bridgestone tires. Braking is from drums at both ends, with a twin leading-shoe design up front. Suspension consists of a conventional fork as well as dual preload-adjustable shocks mounted to the swingarm.
The chrome handlebar is mounted aft of an instrument cluster containing a 140-mph speedometer, a tachometer with an 8,500-rpm redline, and indicator lights. The five-digit odometer shows 8k miles, none of which have been added under current ownership. The horn does not work.
The air-cooled 498cc two-stroke triple was factory rated at 60 horsepower and 42 lb-ft of torque. Equipment includes three Mikuni carburetors, oil injection, a chrome three-into-three exhaust system, and a kick starter. The seller notes the cylinders and pistons were replaced under prior ownership.
