This 1956 Chevrolet 3100 stepside pickup was acquired by the seller in 1983 and was refurbished in 2005. The truck is finished in red over red vinyl and is powered by a 283ci V8 mated to a four-speed manual transmission. Features include 15″ American Racing wheels, front disc brakes, independent front suspension, power steering, chrome bumpers, wood bed trim, a heater and defroster, and vent windows. This Task Force pickup is now offered with a clean California title in the seller’s name.
The truck is finished in red and was repainted during the aforementioned refurbishment. Features include dual side view mirrors, chrome bumpers, wood bed trim, and quarter vent windows. The antenna is broken and paint cracks on the right rear fender are shown in the gallery. The seller notes various paint chips and states that the turn signal flashers are inoperative.
Chrome 15″ American Racing wheels are wrapped in BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires measuring P255/60. Stopping power is provided by front disc brakes and rear drums. The truck was fitted with independent front suspension and power steering during the refurbishment.
The cab features a bench seat that has been trimmed in red vinyl with black piping, and additional appointments include a Hurst shifter, a heater and defroster, chrome hardware and knobs, three-point seat belts, a glovebox, and hand-crank side windows. An under-dash air conditioning system has been added, though it is inoperative. The radio has been removed.
The three-spoke steering wheel fronts a 100-mph speedometer, an ammeter, and readouts for coolant temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 98k miles. The fuel level gauge does not work.
The 283ci V8 was refreshed in 2006 and features a chrome air cleaner housing and valve covers. An air conditioning compressor remains fitted, and additional components are included in the sale.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. A replacement rear end was installed during the refurbishment.
