This 1977 Jeep CJ-7 Renegade was purchased by the current owner from a relative in 1978, and it is said to have been stored at the owner’s vacation home during their 46-year ownership. Now showing 21k miles, the truck is powered by a 304ci V8 linked with a three-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case. The truck is finished in brown over tan upholstery, and additional equipment includes 15″ white-finished steel wheels, front disc brakes, a roll bar, a tan bimini-style soft top, and a tow ball. This CJ-7 is offered by the seller on behalf of the current owner with service records, the owner’s manual, and a clean California title in the owner’s name.
The truck was repainted brown in July 1990 and features Renegade graphics, a tan bimini-style soft top, dual side mirrors, black wheel arch flares, and a tow ball.
The 15″ white-finished steel wheels are mounted with 33×12.5″ Goodyear Wrangler tires. Braking is provided by power-assisted front discs and rear drums.
The seller states the interior was refreshed and the seats were reupholstered in 1990. Features include tan carpets, a lockable center console, and a roll bar.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel fronts a 90-mph speedometer, an analog clock, and supplementary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 21k miles, approximately 18k of which were added under current ownership.
The 304ci V8 was factory rated at 150 horsepower and 245 lb-ft of torque. The engine bay received a dry ice treatment in October 2022. Service in March 2022 included replacing the rear main seal, water pump, thermostat, radiator core, oil pan gasket, and valve cover gaskets.
Power is routed to all four wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case. The transmission was serviced in April 2022.
