This 1977 Triumph Spitfire 1500 is finished in green over black vinyl, the car is powered by a 1.5-liter inline-four linked to a four-speed manual gearbox with overdrive. It is also equipped with a replacement black soft top, a luggage rack, front disc brakes, Minator 13″ alloy wheels, a cabin heater, a wood-rimmed Nardi steering wheel, a wooden shift knob with a shift pattern, and a thumb toggle switch for overdrive. Work under current ownership is said to have included installing a polyurethane transmission tunnel cover, overhauling the Zenith-Stromberg carburetor and the ignition system, and replacing the choke cable, alternator, rear leaf spring, brake and clutch hydraulic cylinders, and tires. This Spitfire was acquired by the seller in May 2016. and is offered at no reserve with a workshop manual, a tonneau cover, service records, photos of car show awards, and a Georgia title in the seller’s name.
The car was refinished in British Racing Green under prior ownership and is fitted with a replacement black soft top. Exterior features include a driver-side mirror, a decklid-mounted luggage rack, bright bumpers and bonnet latches, and a twin-tip exhaust outlet. The seller states that the left-front quarter valance was replaced under previous ownership.
Minator 13″ alloy wheels were reportedly mounted with 175/70 Hankook Kinegy ST tires in 2023. Braking is from discs up front and drums out back. The seller states that the brake master cylinder and the rear leaf spring were replaced under current ownership.
The bucket seats are upholstered in black vinyl. Appointments include a woodgrain dashboard, a cabin heater, and a wooden shift knob with a shift pattern and a thumb toggle switch for overdrive. The seller states that a polyurethane transmission tunnel cover was fitted under current ownership, and the Dual AM/FM/CD stereo is not connected.
The wood-rimmed Nardi steering wheel frames inoperative Smiths instrumentation including a 120-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6k-rpm redline. Gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature are mounted in the center of the dashboard. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 5k miles. Total mileage is unknown.
