1971 Datsun 240Z

This 1971 Datsun 240Z is a Series II car that was assembled in August 1971, and it shows 13k miles. It was parked in storage by its original owner in Canada between 1975 and 2015. Its fuel system, clutch hydraulics, and brakes were then serviced, and fewer than 1k miles have since been driven. The car is finished in metallic silver over black vinyl, and it has 14″ wheels, front disc brakes, and an AM/FM radio. Power comes from a 2.4-liter L24 inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Previously listed on BaT in January 2022, this 240Z is now offered again by the selling dealer with a clean California title.

The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer, while an analog clock and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level are centrally mounted. Aftermarket voltage and oil-temperature gauges are fitted in the center console, the latter of which is not working. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 13k miles, approximately 500 of which were added under current ownership.

Equipped at the factory with dual side-draft carburetors, the 2.4-liter inline-six was rated at 151 horsepower and 146 lb-ft of torque when new, and it sends power to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. Dry-ice cleaning in the engine bay was completed in preparation for the sale.
