This 1971 Jeep Jeepster Commando station wagon is powered by a 225ci V6 linked with a three-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case and is finished in bronze over two-tone charcoal vinyl. The engine was rebuilt under prior ownership in 2019, and a Kenwood head unit was retrofitted along with aftermarket speakers, a polyurethane fuel tank, and an aluminum radiator with an electric fan. Further equipment includes 15″ steel wheels, manually locking front hubs, a receiver hitch, and a heater. The truck was acquired by the seller in 2021, and work performed since then included replacing the drag links, overhauling the brakes, and installing the roll bar, bikini top, suspension lift kit. The Jeep is noted to have been used as a plow truck before being repainted bronze under prior ownership. Features include a white bikini top, Wagner headlights, a seven-slot grille, an exposed fuel-filler cap, and a receiver hitch. Paint chips are noted on various body panels.
Steel 15″ wheels are finished in drab green and mounted with 32×11.5″ Falken Wildpeak A/T tires. The front axle is equipped with manually locking front hubs, and the truck rolls on a lifted suspension. The brake booster was replaced in 2019, and the brake shoes, drums, wheel cylinders, and drag links were replaced in March 2024.
The low-back bucket seats and rear bench seat are upholstered in charcoal cloth with darker vinyl sides. The three-spoke steering wheel wears a rusty horn button and frames a 110-mph speedometer and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 50k miles, approximately 500 of which have been added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The 225ci Dauntless V6 was factory-rated at 160 horsepower and 235 lb-ft of torque. The engine was overhauled in August 2019 which involved replacing the pistons, lifters, mechanical fuel pump, and timing components. A polished air cleaner housing has been retrofitted in addition to an aluminum radiator with a Mishimoto electric cooling fan.
Power is routed to the rear or all four wheels via a three-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case. A polyurethane fuel tank was fitted under prior ownership, and the transmission, transfer case, and front and rear differentials were serviced in April 2022.
