This 1980 Alfa Romeo Alfetta GTV was reportedly imported to the US around 1985 and was modified and refurbished by the seller’s uncle between 2001 and 2010, with work including the installation of a 2.6L V8 sourced from an Alfa Romeo Montreal as well as the five-speed manual transaxle, limited-slip differential, front brakes, and Recaro front seats from a Milano Verde. The car is finished in white with black graphics over black and gray cloth upholstery and is equipped with a custom exhaust system, an aluminum radiator, electronic ignition, Koni shocks, a rear spoiler, and aftermarket wheels. This modified Alfetta GTV is now offered by the seller on behalf of the current owner with Ontario registration.
The car was repainted white around 2008, reportedly following repairs of damage to the right rear fender. Black decals have been added to the sides of the body and on the hood, and additional equipment includes a black rear spoiler, dual side mirrors, a sunroof, and chrome Euro bumpers.
Aftermarket 15″ five-lug alloy wheels are mounted with Bridgestone Potenza tires. The front axle incorporates Milano steering knuckles, Brembo brakes, and vented rotors. The suspension has been lowered and stiffer torsion bars have been added, along with Koni shocks at each corner.
The cabin features Recaro front sport seats from a Milano Verde and a rear bench that have been reupholstered in black and gray cloth. Additional equipment includes a wood shift knob, a JVC CD receiver, and a heater.
The MOMO steering wheel sits ahead of a Veglia Borletti tachometer, while a cluster of gauges mounted atop the center stack consist of a 220-km/h speedometer and readouts for oil pressure, fuel level, and coolant temperature. The six-digit mechanical odometer was reset to zero during the build and shows 6k kilometers (~3,700 miles). Total mileage is unknown.
The 2.6-liter quad-cam V8 features SPICA mechanical fuel injection and was sourced from an Alfa Romeo Montreal and installed under current ownership. Electronic ignition and an aluminum radiator have been added. Tubular headers feed a custom exhaust system.
The rear-mounted five-speed manual gearbox was reportedly sourced from a Milano verde and features a limited-slip differential with a 3.75:1 final drive ratio.
