No Reserve: 1988 Pontiac Fiero GT 5-Speed

This 1988 Pontiac Fiero GT spent time in Nevada before the seller’s acquisition in 2024. Recent work included servicing the 2.8-liter V6, overhauling the fuel and brake systems, refurbishing the pop-up headlights, and refinishing areas of the exterior in Medium Red Metallic (77).  The interior is upholstered in gray cloth and vinyl and additional equipment includes a five-speed manual transaxle, 15″ alloy wheels, a removable sunroof, air conditioning, power windows, cruise control, and a JVC stereo. This Fiero GT shows 117k miles and is offered at no reserve with a service manual, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Utah title in the seller’s name.

The car is finished in Medium Red Metallic (77), and exterior features include pop-up headlights, a removable sunroof, a left quarter-panel duct, a vented engine lid, and a rear spoiler. Recent work is said to have consisted of replacing the headlight controller and motors, driver and passenger window seals, and rear trunk seal, and the hood, spoiler, and headlight covers were refinished in preparation for the sale. The power-adjustable side mirrors are inoperative.

Black-finished 15″ diamond-spoke alloy wheels were mounted with 205/60 Sentury Touring tires in 2022. Stopping power is provided by power-assisted disc brakes at all four corners. The brake rotors and brake pads are said to have been replaced and the brake fluid was flushed in October 2023.

The rear trunk carpet and the driver door lock switch were replaced in preparation for the sale. The factory subwoofer does not work.

The six-digit odometer shows 117k miles, approximately 3k of which were added under current ownership. The seller reports the engine temperature warning light is functioning but coolant temperature gauge does not work.

The mid-mounted 2.8-liter L44 V6 was factory rated at 135 horsepower and 165 lb-ft of torque. Work under previous ownership reportedly included replacing the fuel tank, fuel filter, fuel lines, spark plugs, and ignition wires, and additional work in 2023 consisted of changing the oil, flushing the coolant, and replacing the coolant temperature sensor and sending unit.
