This 1985 Ford Mustang LX notchback was purchased new by the seller’s parents from Chuck Callahan Ford of Indianapolis, Indiana, in June 1985 and was acquired by the seller in June 2001. The car now shows 25k miles and is powered by a 302ci Windsor V8 mated to a five-speed manual transmission and a Traction-Lok rear axle. It is finished in black over Charcoal cloth upholstery and is equipped with red pinstriping, dual exhaust outlets, 15″ alloy wheels, front bucket seats, an AM/FM radio, intermittent wipers, and air conditioning. This Mustang LX is now offered with a window sticker, a Deluxe Marti Report, the owner’s manual, service records, spare parts, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Indiana title in the seller’s name.
The car is finished in black and features red pinstriping, dual exhaust outlets, and gray trim. A ding on the left door was repaired using body filler prior to the car being sold new, the rear bumper cover has been replaced, and the top corner of the right quarter panel received body and paintwork. The 15″ alloy wheels are mounted with 225/60 Goodyear Eagle VR60 tires showing pre-2000 production codes. The car is equipped with power steering. Braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums.
The cabin features seating surfaces upholstered in Charcoal cloth with matching door panels. Amenities include articulated front bucket seats, an AM/FM radio, intermittent wipers, and air conditioning. The headliner was replaced. The steering column and right A-pillar are scratched.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames an 85-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for amperage, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 25k miles, approximately 2,300 of which were added under current ownership.
The 302ci Windsor V8 was factory rated at 210 horsepower and 265 lb-ft of torque.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission and a Traction-Lok rear axle. The left floor pan has a dent and there are holes in the exhaust between the rear axle and the stainless-steel portion of the exhaust. A replacement catalytic converter was installed in 2001. Corrosion is visible on various underside components. The removed factory catalytic converter is included in the sale.
