This 1985 Ferrari 400i is a European-market example that spent 16 years with its former owner before being acquired by the current owner in 2020. Now showing 50k kilometers (~31k miles), the car is finished in red over tan leather upholstery and is powered by a fuel-injected 4.8-liter V12 paired with a five-speed manual transmission. A contrasting brown dashboard is fitted as well as a Continental stereo and rear-passenger air conditioning controls. The heater core was replaced in 2013. The air conditioning was converted to R134a refrigerant and a replacement compressor, hoses, condenser, and related components were replaced in preparation for the sale.
The replacement Nardi Classic steering wheel frames Veglia Borletti instrumentation consisting of a 300 km/h speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for oil pressure and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 50k kilometers (~31k miles), approximately 2,500 of which were added under current ownership.
The quad-cam 4.8-liter F101C Colombo V12 is equipped with Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection, and an MSD ignition system is fitted. The fuel injection accumulators were changed in 2020 along with the spark plugs and ignition wires. The warm-up regulators were replaced in 2023 along with various vacuum hoses, sealing washers, and fuel hoses. The hood pad was replaced in preparation for the sale.
A five-speed manual transmission sends power to the rear wheels. Dry ice blasting was conducted in June 2024, and additional underside photos are presented in the gallery below.
The Carfax report indicates no accidents or other damage. The car was designated a California Gross Polluter in 2005 and 2007.
