Japanese-Market 1977 Porsche 930 Turbo 3.0

This 1977 Porsche 930 Turbo was delivered new to Mitsuwa Motors in Japan, where it was first registered in February 1977. It passed through several owners over the ensuing 46 years before being acquired by the selling dealer and imported to the US in June 2023. Powered by a turbocharged 3.0-liter flat-six mated to a four-speed manual transaxle, the car wears a later-style front valance as well as a front chin spoiler and a whale-tail rear wing. On the inside, the front bucket seats are trimmed in black leather and accompanied by a fold-down rear bench seat. Further equipment includes air conditioning, power windows, and power-assisted disc brakes. The car received a repaint in its factory shade of silver and underwent an engine out service prior to being listed on BaT in December 2023. Subsequent work in 2024 is noted to have involved installing a three-spoke steering wheel and replacing the 16″ Fuchs alloy wheels as well as servicing the timing chain tensioners, performing a valve adjustment, and replacing the valve cover gaskets. Now showing 70k kilometers (~44k miles), this 930 Turbo is offered by the selling dealer in San Diego, California, with owner’s manuals, Japanese maintenance records, a tool kit, a portable air compressor, and a clean Montana title.
