Luxury car brand Lexus has released a teaser image of its upcoming 2024 GX model, which is set to take on the iconic off-road Land Rover Defender. The new GX, expected to be sold in Australia, features a boxier, more rugged design with chiselled edges, flared wheel arches, a window line step, boxy mirrors and a full-width LED tail light bar at the back. The new GX, which Lexus stresses has historic links to the Toyota Prado, is set to have off-road capability and may feature a 3.5-litre twin-turbo petrol V6 engine from the LandCruiser 300 Series as well as hybrid options. The new Lexus GX will be unveiled on June 9.
