The Lincoln Memorial blew me away. I wanted to shoot him for hours, testing out all kinds of angles, but it occurred to me that it’s damn near impossible to take a unique shot of a national monument. I flopped down on the marble floor in front of a crowd of people to get this shot. Two minutes later, other people were down on the marble. I tried.
