Safari-Style 2010 Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe 6-Speed

This 2010 Porsche 911 Carrera coupe was converted into a Safari-style 997 under previous ownership and is finished in Aqua Blue Metallic. Modifications include a suspension lift, all-terrain tires, auxiliary lighting, a roll bar, a Yakima roof basket with a Thule bike carrier and spare wheel, an aluminum skid plate, Recaro Pole Position seats, a 997 Turbo decklid, Alcantara interior trim, a B&M short shifter, and “Gundo” mufflers with a center-bypass exhaust. Additional details include a 3.6-liter flat-six, a six-speed manual transaxle, xenon headlamps, Porsche Active Stability Management, parking sensors, a sunroof, and a factory CD stereo with the Bose High End Sound package. Acquired by the current owner on BaT in November 2021, this modified 997 is now offered on their behalf with a Carfax report and a clean Texas title.

The car is finished in Aqua Blue Metallic (D2) and has been modified with a body-color LED front light pod, a 997 Turbo decklid, a Yakima roof basket with a spare tire and a Thule bike carrier, Zunsport mesh grilles, and Carrera S quad exhaust outlets. Additional exterior features include xenon headlamps and “Safari” badging and vinyl graphics, and close-up images of the paint and blemishes can be seen in the gallery below. The Carfax report shows “minor damage” occurring in June 2020 which resulted in the rear bumper being replaced. The windshield was also replaced under previous ownership.

Braid Winrace 16” wheels are wrapped in 215/65 BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 tires. Chassis modifications include a JRZ 997 Safari suspension with a 3” lift, RSS adjustable lower control arms, Tarret adjustable thrust arms, rear toe links, and monoball shock mounts as well as Eibach 23mm rear wheel spacers. The brake pads and rotors are said to have been replaced approximately 6k miles ago.

The cabin features Recaro Pole Position seats trimmed in black leather with white seat backs and Schroth racing harnesses. Additional modifications include RS-style door pull straps, a white-finished roll bar, a fire extinguisher mounted in the passenger footwell, a B&M short shifter, Weathertech floor mats, and Alcantara trim on the lower dashboard, glovebox, shift knob, arm rest, and emergency brake handle.

An Alcantara-wrapped GT3 RS steering wheel frames a central tachometer with a 7,400-rpm redline, a 200-mph speedometer, and gauges for oil temperature, coolant temperature, fuel level, and oil pressure. The digital odometer shows 91k miles, approximately 1k of which have been added under current ownership.

The 3.6-liter flat-six was factory rated at 345 horsepower and 287 lb-ft of torque, which is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle. The center and rear mufflers have been bypassed, the high-pressure fuel pump has been replaced, and an 80k-mile service is said to have been performed at approximately 89k miles, which included replacing the brake fluid, engine and cabin air filters, spark plugs, and drive belt.
