Proteus Jaguar C-Type Re-Creation

This 1952 Jaguar C-Type re-creation was produced by Proteus Sports and Racing Cars of Henley, England, and imported to the US during the late 1980s or early 1990s. Finished in British Racing Green over green leather upholstery, the car is powered by a 3.8-liter inline-six paired mated to a four-speed transmission with a Laycock electric overdrive. Equipment includes dual SU carburetors, four-wheel disc brakes, 16″ wire-spoke wheels, independent front suspension, and coilover shocks as well as low-back bucket seats, a Moto Lita wood-rimmed steering wheel, Brooklands-style windscreens, and a side-pipe exhaust. Acquired by the selling dealer in February 2023, this C-Type replica is now offered with a clean Missouri title that lists the car as a 1966 Jaguar.

The wood-rimmed Moto-Lita steering wheel fronts Smiths instrumentation consisting of a 220-km/h speedometer, a tachometer with an inset clock, a Lucas ammeter, and gauges for oil pressure, fuel level, and coolant temperature, the latter of which is inoperative. The five-digit odometer shows 2,300 kilometers, approximately 50 of which were driven by the selling dealer.
