No Reserve: 1947 Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith Project

This 1947 Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith is a non-running project that left the factory shortly after passenger vehicle production resumed following the end of World War II. The car was imported from the UK to the US in the early 1970s, and it is equipped with a 4.3L inline-six and a four-speed manual transmission. Portions of the bodywork and interior have been removed, and parts accompanying the car include glass, fenders, lighting, seat cushions, wood trim, and hardware. Acquired by the seller in 2021 out of long-term storage, this Silver Wraith project is now offered at no reserve with a California title in the seller’s name and photos of service records dating back to 1959.

With production beginning in 1947, the Silver Wraith was the first postwar Rolls-Royce. This example was delivered new to London and remained registered in the UK until 1972. The rear fenders and much of the exterior hardware have been removed, and the windshield and rear window are missing. Primer has been applied to the body, and corrosion, wear, and dents are visible around the car. The bulk of the photos in the gallery were taken in 2022.
