2019 Hyundai Santa Fe SEL Plus Review and Price

I will tell you honestly what I think about this car.

At first I’d mention the minus of a very thin layer of body paint. But in places where corrosion is possible plastic is used.

If to speak about the exterior the car looks aggressive, a little awkward from the side but angry from the front. The headlights are very modern. The car looks less futuristic from the back.

There is a lot of space in the back seats, the ceiling is high, there is the USB charging, the armrest, the seat backs are adjustable, the third passenger is also comfortable to sit. The seats are soft. Everything as it should be in a normal car. The trunk is quite roomy with two additional seats. The third row of seats is installed automatically. But it’s not very comfortable to sit there. The third row I would say is for children. It has climate control. But getting out of the third row is not convenient, it is much easier to do it through the trunk.

In the interior of the car I like everything, all the materials are mixed but they combine well. The interior is clearly a strong point of this car. I really like the design, materials, stitching with contrasting threads, interesting shapes. The colors are chosen perfectly, I like how everything is done inside the car.

The central air duct looks like a beetle. The backlight is bright and adjustable. I also want to note the quality of all the interior components. The speakers of the audio system are made perfectly. Nothing creaks anywhere.

The only thing you can find fault with is the dashboard. They could make it as unconventional as the whole interior of the car, but it is more than usual, similar to the Renault’s one.

The car goes off-road relatively well but still shakes and accelerates poorly in such conditions. Engine 2.4 liters, 185 horsepower.

The car accelerates to 100 kilometers per hour with two passengers in 10 seconds. The result is not the best but in principle not bad.

The transmission is very cool, eight-speed. The suspension is quite soft. In poor weather the car runs not quite confidently but all the same runs. The noise insulation of the car is not bad, there is nothing critical.

I can praise also good adaptive cruise control, blind spots, the system is not bad enough.

In general the car is pleasant for me, more comfortable, clearer in movements, it is cool inside, other minor flaws can be forgiven.

The car runs as it should do but sometimes I fell that something is wrong. I drive in eco mode usually. In whole the car gives the impression of enjoying the ride, when you don’t have to worry about anything. Even the music plays well, the sound is clear and rich. The price is acceptable.

  • It takes a relatively long time to accelerate.
  • The steering wheel sometimes brakes.
  • The on-board computer also sometimes slows down.
  • The feeling remains that the car is a little bit underperformed.
