I bought a 2019 Ioniq Hybrid Blue back in October of 2018. My daily commute to and from work includes 60 miles with an added 10-20 miles of driving for work. I knew I needed something to keep gas costs down and this does the job. I average out about 55 mpg per tank and I think this is in part due to the geography of where I drive. One way to work is almost all downhill and the way back has some steep hills to go through. All in all, if you manage to stay at about 70 mph on the highway you will likely get the best mileage out of it.
In terms of interiors, the car is very comfortable. Even at the lowest trim available you get Android Auto and Apple Carplay which, after you’ve had it, is hard to live without. My car feels like an extension of my phone. The space is comfortable as well and the cargo space in the back is ridiculous for the size of the car.
The drive is smooth on the vehicle. You do get a lot of road noise coming in which is likely a result of the lightness used to achieve the gas mileage. The a/c gets very loud as well so be aware of that if you live in hot climates. Other than that, this car is amazing.
