2018 Nissan Maxima SR Review and Price

If there was a wish from Car Enthusiasts for an all around car that embodies everything, Nissan heard it… This car is hands down the most exciting “4-Door Sports Car” on the road today. Everything I mentioned in the Title is right on the mark, with no compromises.

However, and before I am accused of being partial, there is a Downside to all this Upside: Nissan fell flat on its face by NOT offering the Dual Paned Roof on the SR Trim package! They also fell doubly short by NOT offering accessory packages on the Platinum Trim that would enhance the Sportiness of the car, such as 19″ Sport Tires, or Paddle Shifters.

If I have my say at Nissan, I would Fire Every Bean Counter and Marketing Person there who had a hand in this decision, because ultimately, that’s where the idiocy of NOT giving us car enthusiasts the options we crave most rests: Sporty Enhancements & Personalization of our vehicles. Instead, we get 5 different Cookie Cutter versions that we cannot add or subtract options from except for cosmetics.

For that Nissan you only get an A-, and that’s because the car is awesome despite your shortfalls… Know this: I am not alone in this sentiment. Every Other 8th Gen Maxima Driver feels the same way. You Profiled an SR/Platinum Version at the Detroit Motor show as the concept car, but you never delivered it…
