2008 Chevrolet Corvette Review Price
Power, handling and comfort cannot be matched by anything in its price range. Gas mileage in town (I;m in LA rush hour both ways) is a respectable 19 mpg. On the highway at 75 mph, I average 27 mpg. Car has been flawless mechanically and it still makes me smile after 10 years of owning it. . Every man should have to own at least one Corvette in his lifetime.
Exhaust valve thing has hurt the resale of the c6’s,so far mine is ok It’s fast as hell, noisy inside, maybe too much of a race car for the street but fine with me Really needs a tire up grade from the stock goodyear tires.
I have had my 2008 Convertible for a little over 2 years now and had no significant issues with it. I have the 6 speed manual and I absolutely love driving this car. My only complaints about this car (being a 6 speed manual) is the “economy-shift” that it tries to make you shift from 1st to 4th when you’re accelerating slowly. There have been countless times where I would like to start slow, then shift into 2nd and power up the on-ramp or down the street, but I’m now forced to fight against the shifter because it’s trying to block out 2nd gear from me to force me into 4th.
Besides that, this car is an absolute blast. I have the manual convertible top and have over 100k miles on my car and it has never had a leak or any issues going up or down.
2008 being the first year that got the LS3, I feel it was a great choice by the engineers to place that engine in this car.
Overall, this car is a blast to drive, you always get tons of looks from people around you, it’s great on gas, and this car is super-reliable.
