For 1961 Plymouth styling was distinctive, to say the least. In addition to the “big” Plymouths: Fury, Belvedere, Savoy, and Suburbans, the Valiant became a member of the Plymouth family this year. Chrysler attempted to sell Valiant as a single make, but only for the 1960 model year.
