Steyr was an Austrian manufacturer who turned from guns and munitions to automobiles in 1920. Of the six Glaeser-bodied Steyr 220 Sport Roadsters built before World War II, three were destroyed in the war, one resides in an Austrian museum, one has been lost to history, leaving this one owned by a gentleman from Pennsylvania to win awards at a number of car shows including Pebble Beach, Pinehurst and the 2014 Crescent Beach Concours d’elegance.
